I woke up this morning like a bear with a sore head – quite literally – my head was killing me and I was grumpy! And I thought nothing would improve my mood, until I remembered that a little package* dropped through my door yesterday from the lovely people at The Book of Everyone.
Now I don’t know about you, but the minute something becomes personalised it shortly becomes my favourite! It’s the little things in life 🙂 So when I was asked to review a personalised book from The Book of Everyone, I couldn’t really say no! Now what makes this present even more special is that the lovely people at The Book of Everyone are collaborating with Age UK, so with every book that you buy, that money goes towards the gifting of a book for an elderly person who may not receive a present this Christmas – now this breaks my heart, I think of my Grandparents and I could never leave them at Christmas, but the reality is that it happens to so many, so with this little gesture you’re really helping in a big way.
So lets look at the book itself, on the website you are instantly met with numerous options on how you want your book, digital to hardback, blue to pink! The choice is great, so you can really match this keepsake to your special person. Then all you have to do is fill in a few details (name of recipient, date of birth, gender and your relationship) and the rest is done for you! It is so easy.
I thought to give you an idea of what is included in the book, I would show you some of my favourite pages – problem is I could have took a picture of every page! It is brimming with interesting facts about the day you was born, your age and who shares your birthday with you. So this is the second and third page in, and I love how it greets you! It does make you feel special.
Then there is this little newspaper article that tells you key things that happened on your birthday – did you know in 1993 Apple shipped their 10 millionth mac? Well you do now! Might come in handy for a pub quiz. And there is also a little uplifting quote.
I also can view my own ant! This is hilarious and I never thought I would have been interested in this until now, but there you go. It is a little bit quirky and I will probably forget about my little ant Courtney in a few months time! I have also noticed that the link that is printed in the book doesn’t actually work anymore, but instead of /antfarm do /ant-cam.
Now I love a quote, have a look on my Pinterest and you are sure to see, they pull me through my little down days. So I love this section at the back that has all of these colourful quotes about friendship (the relationship I chose was for a friend). I think this is a cute little touch and you can change this in the personalisation process for your partner, parents and so on.
Overall I am really pleased with my book, and it is currently taking place on my vanity table. I would throughly recommend ordering one of these, it is a fantastic little stocking filler or secret santa present – starting from £7.50, and can be delivered in 5 working days! So perfect for that last minute dash. But above all, Age UK is a great cause, and Christmas is all about giving back, and this is such a lovely thoughtful way to do so.
What do you think about The Book of Everyone?
