So on Tuesday the 18th of November 2014, three years of my hard work finally paid off as I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a First Class Honours degree in Marketing with Advertising. And as cliche as it sounds, I really could not have done it without my friends, family and boyfriend pulling me through.
When people tell you University is hard, I think it is one of the biggest understatements that exist. Unless you have actively gone and given it your all, you will not understand. From the moment I started Uni, I strived to get the best grade I possibly could. I swapped in late nights out drinking, with all night study sessions, and luckily found some great friends along the way who had this same ethos.
So my advice, if you are starting University or if you’re already in the thick of it is just keep pushing on, because when they read your name out in that ceremony, and you have won awards for your commitment to that degree and you are the only one in your line up who gets addressed as “And with First Class Honours [insert your name here]” it will all be worth it.
