As promised, here is the second part of my Lush haul from Liverpool Street station. If you haven’t had the chance to read part one yet, go take a look at it here. For everyone else, here is the bath and body edition!
Most of the products that I bought in this haul, I have never had the pleasure of trying before, so it was a trip of firsts. One thing I have seen so much about but never thought to pick up myself is the Mask of Magnaminty, I’ve never had “problem skin” so had never gravitated towards this in the past, but I love masks with plenty of mint in them (the tingle = working) and this is chock full of the stuff. It is also self-preserving, which I’m still yet to educate myself fully on, but as far as I can understand, it doesn’t need any extra stuff to keep it fresh. This is a super thick and grainy mask- perfect for exfoliation- and it really does leave my skin feeling soft and fresh.
Mask of magnaminty: Peppermint & marigold oil with honey (here)
Next up, it this incredibly cute badger who, unfortunately, got knocked about a bit in my bag. I actually bought May Day because I read that 100% of the proceeds made from this ballistic go to groups behind the Votes For Animals campaign, something I can definitely get behind and everyone else should too. Now it is just a white bath bomb, I can’t see it doing much in the way of lighting up my bathroom with a signature lush scent, but the smell is unoffensive, and apparently is meant to leave your skin super silky.
May Day: Citric Acid and Fennel Oil (here)
On to a regular for me, Dragons Egg. This bath bomb is perfect for the pending summer, it looks like it could be a fairly boring bomb with its white exterior, but when you drop it into the bath, it starts fizzing and changes to the brightest orange with confetti. It has a strong citrus smell, that really lingers for the rest of the day, if you all remember those sweets back in the day- sherbert dips? It is like throwing a grown-up one of those in your bath with a hint of jasmine. As an added bonus, it also has popping candy!
Dragons Egg: Lemon oil, jasmine and popping candy (here)
Next up is the Fizzbanger, another bath bomb that completely tricks you into being different than its outside appearance. Much like the Dragons egg, it also contains popping candy, so you can hear it fizz and crackle as it spins into yellow and blue swirls. When I first picked this up, I totally thought it would smell like lemons and citrus, but instead is very reminiscent of a warm apple and cinnamon pie. Perfect when you need a little pick me up on a cold day. I’ve also read a few reviews about it being super helpful if you have anxiety, as the ingredients help calm breathing and reduce that awful feeling of dread.
Fizzbanger: Apple, cinnamon and ylang ylang (here)
And last, but by no means least is this cute little Stepping Stone foot scrub. I’m not gonna say too much about this because talking about feet makes me feel physically sick (anyone else?!). But I am going on holiday at the beginning of June, so it will be sandal weather and I need to prep, prep, prep! It smells of lemon and lime and is so far doing a great job! Go buy it to give your tootsies the summer treatment.
Stepping Stone: Lemon, lime, and jojoba oil (here)
So that concludes my little dash to lush, considering the circumstances of a delayed train, I can think of worse ways to spend your time!
