Sorry, I’ve been a little MIA on the blogging front, but I have had the most stressful and exciting few months of my life. Basically, me and Matt bought our first house together, after a year and a half of searching for our perfect place, I am now sitting in my own front room, watching Scream Queens (recommended by the way!) and writing this blog post!
We found out that offer had been accepted on our second day of being in Verona, this was over 2 months ago now, so we’ve had plenty of time to plan what we want to buy and what it should look like. Luckily for us, we’ve managed to buy a new build, so nothing really needs to be changed, just our mark put on it. I will be doing a full homeware haul of my favourite purchases, but I’ll be able to do this once we’re fully settled in.
Having moved house before, I knew what to expect in terms of a house not feeling like a home, so I knew this was something that I needed to address right away, and what better way than a bunch of photographs dotted around. The lovely people at Cheerz* let me choose some bits from their website to decorate my house and give it more of a homely feel.
The first thing I knew I needed to get was the Big Fat Box. You get to choose 200 polaroids that stay safe in this gorgeous keepsake box, it’s currently got pride of place on my coffee table, and is such a nice thing for people to browse through when they pop round. Also, I know 200 pictures sounds like a lot (you can choose 100 too) but once you get started, you wont know which ones to cut!
I also picked up one of these little squares, I thought this would be the finishing touch for my vanity table. I decided to split this between two pictures of me and Matt, and then also feature somewhere that we had visited on that trip as a cute reminder.
If anyone else has any recommendations of how else I can make my new house a home, then please let me know, I always love reading about new places to buy homeware.
