So let me start off by saying Happy 2015 guys! I cannot believe that we are already one week into the new year, and I haven’t blogged for what seems like forever. I also wanted to add that I cannot believe that an amazing 200 of you now follow my little old blog, so I’m so grateful that there are people out there who want to read my little piece of the internet – it’s crazy!
So I wanted to keep this post short and sweet because time is ticking and I feel like if I don’t write these down then I am more likely to just carry on bumbling through life aimlessly *drama*. I have chosen a few resolutions for the new year, much like everyone else has in the blogging world! But I really want to look back in a years time and think wow, I have actually achieved something this year.
1. Blog Blog Blog!
I really feel like I am useless with this blog, I always forget and the minute something better comes along I better deal it (sorry blog, but it’s the truth). I had always wanted to start a blog, and truth be told I had about three failed attempts until this year my work friends really encouraged me to start one and I just did it – and Courtney Says What was born. Its honestly great to have somewhere that you feel like you can vent, and there is such a lovely supportive community that it does make me wanna try harder. So yeah, I need to actually blog more!
2. Spend My Time Wisely
Now, I spend roughly 3 and a half hours a day, 5 days a week travelling on the friggen tube. In this time I have become an absolute God in the world of Candy Crush Soda Saga (Level 120 woop) but I feel this time hasn’t been spent allll that wisely. Instead I have decided that I want to read atleast 2 new books a month. I have already started this month with Stephen Hawkings “A Brief History of Time: From Big Bang to Black Holes” I have always been interested in space and this book is becoming hard for me to put down! If you have any other suggestions of books that might be interesting for me please let me know!
3. Eat My Greens!
Since starting work my diet has got terrible, serious microwave meals galore. This obviously really isn’t good for you, so I am trying my hardest to cut back on all the bad stuff and make myself smoothies for breakfast and homemade lunches! My Pinterest is currently in overdrive with colourful bento box ideas. I also know that sitting down in a chair for the majority of my day is doing my bones no good, so I have taken up Yoga 3 times a week, and I seem to be chugging along nicely- even if there have been a *few* complaints.
4. Me and Matt Time
Matt and I use to work 10 minutes away from each other, I say use to because this year he got an amazing new job, thats close to home and I am so sad that I have lost my travel buddy! It’s also sad because I don’t get to see him waiting at the station for me every morning, so I want us to do more stuff to make the time spent with each other even more fun! We are also still on the house hunt, so hopefully 2015 will be our year.
5. Business Driven
Now, if you ask any member of my family I am pretty creative, always have been, so when faced with the option of studying fashion design or marketing at University, it is safe to say I shocked all of my family by choosing the latter. My justification at the time was that although I love to create I couldn’t see myself making money from it, I didn’t want to pigeonhole myself from the world and struggle to get a job. I have now graduated with a first class in marketing with advertising and feel like now is the perfect time to combine my love of creative, with my knowledge of business, that is why I have taken the plunge and let me introduce my little business, Bah Hum Pug. We are still in our early stages, but if you want to find out more when we open, then please subscribe, everyone on that list will get sent a special code for when we open! And I’ll be sure to keep you all updated in the future.
So wow, this actually was considerably longer than I wanted it to be, but yeah thank you to all my readers, you are all dolls! Here is to a wonderful 2015 to us all.
Also, I want to do a post on what I got for Christmas, but I feel like I am too late! If you fancy being nosey then let me know and I will draw up a quick photo post of my pressies this year 🙂
