A little while back, me and Matt went to an outdoor cinema to watch Dirty Dancing *Swayze Swoon*. With this being one of my favourite films I really enjoyed myself, and I have been on the hunt to do it again, maybe with the girls to save Matt the suffering! The atmosphere of these kind of events always makes me happy because everyone joins in on the best moments with synchronised ‘ohhhhs’ & ‘ahhhs’. This got me thinking about famous film quotes, so I took to Pinterest to find my favourites!
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – This is my ultimate ‘sick day film’, for when you just want to grab a duvet and curl up on the chair and drink copious amounts of tea. I remember being in year 6 and my dad putting this on when I didn’t feel well and told me stories about when he was at school and what he and his friends would get up to. I now find myself reverting back to this whenever I get the sniffles and do that annoying thing of shamelessly saying every single line.
Juno – I have a great love for Michael Cera, he is just adorable & awkward and lives up to all expectations in Juno. The story catapults me across the happy/sad spectrum throughout, and has some great one liners. If you haven’t seen this one, then I would highly recommend, and watch out for the scene with Bleaker and Juno on the running track (make sure you have tissues handy!) oh, and double points for Dwight Schrute being in the beginning.
The Notebook – I have not met one person who has said a bad thing about this film, you fall in love with the story – most importantly Noah, and secretly wish your boyfriend knows what you mean when you say “I’m a bird” (they never do). Me and my sister watched this film when it first came out and when it finished both looked like Pandas. It was really hard to choose my favourite quote from this film because there are honestly so many! So I’ve narrowed down some of my favourite Ryan Gosling love.
Can Ryan Gosling do any wrong?! So what are some of your favourite film quotes?
