A little late to the party, as usual, but I couldn’t put this purchase off any longer. I finally bit the bullet and purchased some signature pieces from the Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet Ready Set. I have been meaning to get some bits for a while now, but they are extremely hard to get hold of, selling only with a select few stockists – but hey ho, who ever complained about a little exclusivity. So this will be a little bit of a haul, and a little bit of a first impressions because I haven’t had time to give a full review.
So first up is Charlotte’s Magic Cream – amazing! I love the luxurious packaging and the product itself is pretty special. I have only been using this for around five days now, but I put it on in the morning once I have washed my face and approx 10 minutes before my make up, and follow up in the evening (slightly thicker layer) once I have taken it all off again. For my skin (combination type) I feel this is perfect, it is however really rich, so if you find you have oily skin then this probably wont do you any favours.
Moving on, to what I have to say is my least favourite in the collection. This is the Multi Miracle Glow, which triples as a cleanser, balm and mask. I have so far tried using as a cleanser (left my face super sticky) and a mask (too messy) now I can deal with a little bit of mess, but what I cannot stand is the artificial smell. This is honestly so overpowering, that I put it to the back of my mind and grab my Liz Earle cleanser every time. It’s a shame because the packaging is so beautiful, but it isn’t cheap, and I just guess I was wishing for a little more, but that’s the price you pay when you buy online. I’m still going to try this out as a balm, because I have read such good reviews! So if you have any advice for me on this one, it would be much appreciated.
Next is my Holy Grail product- Wonder Glow! Zoe over at Stone Fox recommended this to me, and after much deliberation I finally caved and got one for myself. I mix this with my foundation (currently Dior Star) rather than the recommended primer, because I feel like it just lights up my face, and I also like to use a mattifying primer on my T zone, just to keep any unwanted shine at bay. This is one thing I know that I will continue to repurchase, and I cannot wait to use this on holidays when you don’t want a full face of make up.
Finally, I got the Film Star Bronze & Glow after seeing it on Vivianna Does Makeup. It works really well with the wonder glow, but I do have a tendency of being overzealous with my application and looking like an extra from Twilight [NB: not a good look!] I have tried a number of different contour kits, and this is by far my favourite. The bronze section is a really natural tan, and the highlight features just the right amount of shimmer.
This all came lovingly packaged with the signature Charlotte Tilbury make up bag, which has become a firm favourite in my handbag. All in all, I am only disappointed in one product, which isn’t too bad, as I mentioned, that is the risk you take when buying cosmetics online.
What Charlotte Tilbury products do you love or are lusting after? I’d love to know. I think next on my list are the airbrush powder & matte lipsticks!

The packaging is amazing, it’s so intricately put together. I think I want to try the airbrush powder next! xx
Hmmmm the Multi Miracle Glow does not sound very good. I absolutely hate when products leave my skin sticky!

It was so disappointing! I’m still yet to find a way of using it that justifies its price. Maybe I’m just using it wrong! xx
I’m wanting desperately to test out some CT. This brand isn’t sold in The Bahamas. I thought I would have the chance last week to finally see her products in person when I went stateside and visited the only Department store in the U.S. that I know carries it (Nordstrom), but it just so happened that that particular location did not. So disappointing.

Oh that is such a shame – here in the UK it is pretty hard to get hold of. There is always the internet! So have a try on there xxx
Looks amazingly luxurious! I’ve been meaning to try Charlotte Tilbury’s products out, but I still haven’t found a place they sell it here in Denmark. Maybe I’ll look some up online. Thanks for the review!

It really is, I have just seen on a few blog posts that show she has released some more items in the collection so I can’t wait to try some out. You’ll have to see if they sell it online maybe? I’ve been after some Tarte make up for ages, and it is just so hard to get hold of in the UK, so I feel your pain! 🙂 xxx
