Transitioning from Valentines Day in my last post, I felt like I’ve neglected one of the most loved UK holidays that is Pancake Day *Tues 9th February*! But these aren’t your regular run of the mill pancakes, these are my posh pancakes (namely because I finally have a Kitchenaid, & you can bet your bottom dollar I’m going to use it at every opportunity!)
I feel like I have managed to trick the world in to thinking that I am naturally quite a tan person, but in reality, only a small number of people know the truth – my skin is literally the colour of fresh snow. Now I am all about people embracing what they are born with, but for me, I don’t carry pale well, I don’t catch the sun, and I need a quick fix that I can use daily… Enter fake tan. Ah fake tan, we’ve had a love hate relationship for many years now, but I think I have finally cracked the perfect 3 step routine, for a flawless tan every time. So if you’re an avid tanner like me, this one is for you!
So let me start off by saying Happy 2015 guys! I cannot believe that we are already one week into the new year, and I haven’t blogged for what seems like forever. I also wanted to add that I cannot believe that an amazing 200 of you now follow my little old blog, so I’m so grateful that there are people out there who want to read my little piece of the internet – it’s crazy!
So on Tuesday the 18th of November 2014, three years of my hard work finally paid off as I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a First Class Honours degree in Marketing with Advertising. And as cliche as it sounds, I really could not have done it without my friends, family and boyfriend pulling me through.
When I was around 13, I took the plunge and signed up to a Boots advantage card, I took such pride in having a card that had my name on it, even though it just never got used. My mum and Sister both had them and swore by them, but I never saw the appeal (maybe because I was 13 and had no money!) But for the past few years I have been going along to the Christmas points evenings at Boots in Brookfield, and couldn’t believe the amazing offer, basically every time you spent £60, you got £12 worth of points back. So I knew I would be going back this year to top up my make up, and buy some presents for others.
I’m sure I have mentioned maybe once or twice my love for lush, so as soon as I walked past the Stratford store this week and spied the new Christmas collection I knew I had a few purchases to make. So I bought 7 things altogether, a mixture of ones I have tried before and some new ones to review. I also finally have a use for my cute little wire baskets from H&M! I like how they are easy to get to, and they just fill my room with that iconic lush smell.
Photo Heavy Post!
Well it’s accidentally been
a little quite a while since I have last posted, so sorry about that! But I have been trying to prepare for my mini break and just enjoying London in the Winter 🙂 And what better way to throw myself back in than with a post on Christmas! It’s only 54 days until my favourite time of year, so I thought I would do a top 5 stocking fillers, as there is always secret santa’s to buy for, and family members wondering what you want so I’m going to make that job so much easier.
Holidays are quite literally what I live for, I only have 20 days until my next little break, so I am sure you will all have to deal with another post about me being extremely sad again soon! But in the mean time, my lovely friend Jess has tagged me in her Holiday blogger tag, so go check out hers as she is always jetting off and is soon to make you jealous!
